Youngistaan – Movie Review From All Film Critics

Bollywood film Youngistaan directed by Syed Ahmad Afzal released on 28 March 2014. Senior Film Critic Komal Nahata’s opinion about the Movie Youngistan is “The first half is boring and slow but the pace definitely picks up after interval. However, since the drama continues to look implausible and forced even in the second half, the impact is minimal. The pre-climax and climax are interesting but the audience, by then, is so bored that their impact is diluted a great deal. On the whole, Youngistaan does not have the soul-stirring quality so necessary in a film of this kind. Although the last couple of reels are fairly nice, the implausibility of the drama makes it rather unpalatable for the audience. It will, therefore, fail to make its mark.”

Youngistaan, the name has attracted the youth and so will the movie. The genre of the movie is is very different which makes it the best movie of this week. A political-romantic-drama. Abhimanyu Kaul (Jacky Bhaghnani) gets the Prime Ministership of the biggest democracy by his father. His role is in close reference to Rahul Gandhi. Abhi and Anwita Chauhan’s (Neha Sharma) chemistry is good and portrays a very different kind of love story. The best acting is of Late Farooq Sheikh who is the guardian-cum-friend-cum-philosopher-cum-guide is there with the PM as his PA. The movie shows a side of Indian Politics but whatsoever the movie tries, in the end it is a Bollywood Movie. The movie is not to be taken ‘so seriously’ and that will be the only way to enjoy it. The movie’s for the youth and will be appreciated.
