Nanak Noor E Ilahi is a short movie bringing the forefront of the humanitarian ideology of Guru Nanak Sahib. Set in the earlier 16th Century, It is based on a true story of a Devout of Guru Nanak. This story is present in almost all Janmashitas, Panth Prakash, and ancient sources and every historian has mentioned this story somewhere in written or word by mouth through years.
Nanak Noor-E-Ellahi Story
The time of this incident is 1519 CE and it took place at village Bulani (today Pakistan), near the “Ucch Sharif”. It is located approximately at the same distance from the towns of Bahawalpur, Uch Shareef, Multan, and Tulumba. There was also a Jagir in the name of Guru Nanak and at present, a Haveli in a dilapidated condition also exists known as ‘Babe Da Makaan’ means Baba’s House.
In this village, there were Hindus, poor Muslims and wealthy sheiks (belonging to the Sayyid families). Sajjan Thug who was a sheik Sayyid belongs to the town of Tulumba was also a devotee of Guru Nanak. Influenced by the preaching of Guru Nanak Sahib, many Muslims were associated with the teachings of Sikhism.
